Product Details

01 An RCA connector is using for ths cable assemblies, it is a plug and a jack designed for use with coaxial cable for frequencies ranging from the very lowest up to several megahertz. An RCA connector is sometimes known as a phono plug and jack.

This cable assemblies used for audio equipment.  RCA connectors are suitable for audio-frequency (AF) applications. They are also used in radio-frequency (RF) systems at low and medium frequencies, and at power levels up to approximately 100 watts. At higher frequencies or higher power levels, larger connectors are necessary. RCA connectors are designed for cables with small outside diameters (less than 6 or 7 mm) and are intended for indoor use only.

02   There are two types of RCA connectors that are used together to make solid electrical connections. Female RCA connectors are typically located on devices. These connectors typically protrude from a device and have one contact on the exterior surface and another in the center. Male RCA connectors are typically found on cable ends and contain an outer sleeve contact in addition to a central pin connection.

Each audio or video signal requires a separate RCA connector and cable, so it is possible for systems to become very complex. Inputs, outputs and even RCA cables can be color coded to reduce confusion. A typical color scheme for RCA connectors has white and red referring to audio signals and yellow to composite video. White RCA connectors are typically used for the single audio channel in monaural systems as well, and various other colors are often used for surround sound systems.

03  This cable assemblies also designed with our complete line of D-Subminiature Connectors ranges from Right Angle and Vertical Posted Connectors, Cable Connectors to the AMPLIMITE .050 Series D-Sub Connectors. Our D-Subminiature connector portfolio is designed for multiple applications along with specialized accessories that will provide any customer with an economical d-sub solution for any complex application. The D-subminiature connectors are qualified to the MIL-DTL-24308 specification. TE’s Series 109, Series 90 and ULTRA-LITE connectors offer a full range of contact densities, as well as weight-savings and EMI shielding.

Electronic connectors for use in automotive have to be tough and reliable. As they are often placed in parts of an automotive that are open to the elements, they are typical very well sealed against dust ingress and moisture, and usually have a good degree of heat resistance. Also, due to the vibration factors of being installed in a vehicle, the connectors will often have secure locking systems built into the plug and socket to prevent unwanted disconnect.

Features and Benefits
• Environmentally Sealed
• Secure Mating
• Heat Resistant Properties
• Easy to Assemble Connector Kits Available

04   A D-sub connector is a type of electrical connector that is used mainly in computing. It is most commonly used for video connections, such as those between a monitor and computer. The D-sub connector uses a series of pins that slot into a socket, with the plug usually screwed into place to prevent it coming loose.

The most common use of the D-sub connector is as a video connector. This is in a plug and socket known as DE15, meaning it is D-shaped, size E in ITT Cannon's system, and has 15 pins. These are arranged in three rows.

Product Applications

This range of cables assemblies for automotive connectors contains various connector kits to suit the requirements of those in the automotive industry, as well as relevant accessories such as insertion and extraction tools. This rugged range of automotive connectors can be used with most automotive wire harnesses, whether bike, car or caravan, with some especially suited to motocross and boating.
